Photoshop Beginner's Tips



Photoshop is one of the best graphic software for graphics designers and web developers. There is a lot of things we can do by Photoshop. Before reaching the higher tools and techniques, it is vital to master the fundamentals of this stand.

Here is some good ideas if you plan to start this great image editing software.

a) Save Workspace- if you want to create a project specific workspace, choose the components and palettes per your needs. Then Windows>Workspace>Save Workspace.

Choose an exact name for your workspace and save it, so would be available for future use. Customizing workspaces can get better your output and assist save time.

b) Divide Windows in to two - You can open a single image in two windows - one for the displaying Normal View and one with the Zoom in view, where you will do the changes. It is important to saves time as you will not need to zoom in and zoom out every time to check how the image looks.

c) Use Undo – When making changes on an image, you can easily undo the changes by pressing “CTRL+Z”. It is a great shortcut command what you can use during first Photoshop teaching, so you would be able to back your just earlier position.


d) Aware of Changing Background and Foreground Colors - An attractive feature of Photoshop is that it allows users to switch foreground and background colors for an image. Just click on the color square will open the complete color plate, so you can decide the colors of your choice.


e) Easy document open- To open a document, you do not need to reach out for the File Menu every time and then open a new document from there. Just double-click on the Grey window background on the Photoshop page, a new document will open.


f) Screening Individual Files- You can follow some techniques to handle multiple file.

Go to Windows>Arrange>Tile. As a result all the open files in a way that they are all visible at once. You can also close them all at once by using CTRL+W.

These simple tips can make editing an image comparatively faster.
